BOTOX
Botulinum toxin is produced in laboratory conditions from isolated strains of bacteria. It is used topically in very small and strictly chosen doses for a particular patient. Because botox doses are that small, there is no danger of systemic toxicity.
Recommendation
Botox is for people who want to get rid of wrinkles mainly on the upper part of the face – so-called mimic wrinkles which can appear even among very young ones depending on individual mimic of the face. Concerning deep wrinkles it may be necessary to carry out supplementary treatment, that is filling wrinkles with hyaluronan.
Conducted treatments
- removing wrinkles between eyebrows
- forehead wrinkles removal
- removing wrinkles around eyes (crow’s feet)
- removing wrinkles of: lower eyelid, chin, neck and around lips
Contraindications
- skin infections
- pregnancy, breast feeding
- nerve and muscle conductivity dysfunctions (Myasthenia gravis, Lambert–Eaton syndrome)
- hypersensitivity on components of preparations (human albumins)
- using the following medications (or 1 week from using them):
- aminoglycosides (streptomycin, gentamicin, amikacin, kanamicin, etc.)
- aminoquinolines (chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine)
- D-penicilin (Cuprenil)
- cyclosporine
- tubocurarine, pancuronium, galamine
- succinylcholine
- linkomicin, tetracycline, polymyxin
Filling based on hyaluronan
Hyaluronan (also called hyaluronic acid) is a polysaccharide naturally present in human body. Because of its water binding characteristic, it allows to keep proper cell hydration along with firm and elastic skin.
With years its molecules turn over (degrade and synthesize) and treatments supplementing it are carried out.
Hyaluronan used for filling soft tissue defects such as facial wrinkles is a synthetic substance which decreases risk of allergy. It does not require doing an allergy test.
Advantages of treatment
Smoothening facial wrinkles with hyaluronan is very effective and giving immediate results. Nevertheless, the treatment is not reversible – it is done forever. After 9-12 months its molecules gradually degrade on carbon dioxide and water and eventually are absorbed completely. At that point the treatment should be repeated which we take as a big advantage. Thanks to absorption and degradation of the substance, we get a guarantee that changes in the look of our face are fully reversible.
Conducted treatments
- wrinkles filling
- lips contours correction
- nosolabial groove correction
- lips enlarging
Contraindications
- pregnancy, breast feeding
- diseases based on atoimmunology
- tendency to hypertrophied scars
- skin inflammation (herpes, acne)
- hypersensitivity on hyaluronic acid
